CHRISTMAS #4 0751: Here's the grand finale to our 2007 holiday celebration. As is our tradition we favor the old favorites this time - "Christmas Dragnet," "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth," "The Pretty Little Dolly" - but there's also new holiday hilarity, including 2007's most-noticed new novelty Christmas release (The Dan Band), an all-new Bohemian Christmas Rhapsody (not the same one we heard last year), and Santa Claus appearing in the form of a cow (thanks to NorDakota's Mylo Hatzenbuhler). CHRISTMAS #3 0750: Santa loses his brains, goes crazy and butchers his reindeer (the most famous of which had already been shot by a deer hunter)...but St. Nick doesn't cop out on Frosty's dope. Granny gets all lit up on fruitcake brandy, though...and then there's that dose of acid, and the hippopotamus, and the sex toys...Just another Christmas in the land of Dementia, with lots of rare items you won't find anywhere else. CHRISTMAS/HANUKKAH #2 0749: Here we go again with Part Two of our four-part holiday celebration...songs that only get let out of their cages once each year! Time to trim the tree with Dr. D (and spin the dreidel too). Several sought-after rarities in this show - "Blue Christmas" with Seymour Swine, "Here Comes Santa" by Victor Banana, "Merry Christmas You Suckers" by Paddy Roberts...and "Ding! Fries Are Done" (because we all grab fast food during the holiday crush...who has time to eat anything else?) **ALSO** Please send any comments (good or bad) regarding the improved sound quality on this week's and last week's shows to webmaster@drdemento.com Dec 9, 2007

CHRISTMAS/HANUKKAH #1 0748: Here we go with Number One of our four holiday specials for 2007. We've got songs for Hanukkah (and Chanukah too) and lots of thoroughly crazed Christmas carols, old and new. (We think "F**K Christmas," as edited by Dr. D., is even funnier than the unbleeped original). "Showdown At The North Pole" should arouse some interesting conversations...the conflict is Jesus vs. Santa Claus. *ALSO* This show is now in improved quality for both members and non-members! HUNTING 0745: It’s hunting season again in the Land of Dementia. Way scarier than Halloween! We have ten hunting songs this year. Some are pro-hunting, others are anti-hunting, but all of ‘em are funny and entertaining. There’s also a rare and scary song about insanity by the recently departed country star Porter Wagoner. BODY PARTS 0741:Our topic this week is body parts...certain ones in particular, two feminine and one masculine. Note the presence of "Penis Envy" by Uncle Bonsai, which we can't play on the radio since the FCC declared it to be obscene. (If you ask us, it's more morally uplifting than most of what you can hear on the radio these days). This show also contains notable forays into alcohol consumption and insanity. Oct 14, 2007

GUITARS 0740:This week we celebrate the guitar. We wouldn’t have rock ‘n roll without the guitar. Did you realize that the guitar is one of our culture’s true hermaphrodites? Its body is obviously, lasciviously feminine...but the neck is just as clearly phallic...just look at any hard rock guitarist on stage and that’s so obvious. This show also features the classic “Moose Turd Pie” and various musico-sexual adventures. Oct 7, 2007

ALL-TIME Greats 0725 :Among the greatest novelty record artists of all time, Stan Freberg made his mark in the 1950s with devastating spoofs of rock ‘n roll music. After that he moved on to other things, but fans have never stopped wishing Stan would use his comic genius to lampoon later pop music trends. Now, The Great Luke Ski, devoted hip-hop historian and a superb parodist in his own right, has created his own Freberg-style skewering of rap music in his ten-minute sketch called “MC Freberg.” This show also features a half hour of songs about God. No evangelism here, and no disrespect either...just one brilliant comedy song or sketch after another, each using the name of God in the title in its own way. Jun 24, 2007

ROCK N' ROLL 0712: However you choose to spell the “and” in the middle, or even if you leave out the “roll”, it’s been young America’s favorite music for half a century…and a ready-made topic for comedians from both inside and outside the rock world. We’ll hear some of the funniest rock & roll lampoons, from “Pop Hates The Beatles” to “Talkin’ Seattle Grunge Rock Blues.” Other faves on this show include “The Son Of Irving”, the story of “Cinderella” and her two sisty uglers, and, in honor of March Madness, “Basketball Jones.” Mar 25, 2007

RADIO 0711:The special topic of this radio show is radio itself. We’ll hear George Carlin’s classic lampoon of a top 40 DJ the bit that made George famous in 1967 plus Stan Freberg’s biting satire of payola and many other vintage bits and songs. In the first hour we’ll celebrate St. Patrick’s day and introduce a new song by Lemon Demon (of “Ultimate Showdown” fame). Along the way we’ll hear “Carrot Juice Is Murder,” George Gobel’s salute to the Ancient Order of Turtles, and the Sound That’s Made By Worms. Mar 18, 2007

STUPIDITY 0710: In 1956, a television legend got together with two of that era’s greatest radio stars to make what turned out to be one of the worst novelty records of all time. “The Space Man” flies again on this Dr. Demento show! Our main topic this week is stupidity, and we’ll have a couple of really stupid songs (including the one that’s sweeping Canada like a curling broom, “Liquor and Whores”)…but mostly these are hilarious songs about stupidity, from “If I Only Had A Brain” to the one about “Duhbya.” How sweet to be an idiot! We’ll also hear rare tracks like “The Thorazine Shuffle,” Benny Bell’s "Humoresque” (the song about goosing statues in the park) and “My Name Is Puka.” Mar 4, 2007

Dr. Demento D-Pod, 0705: By popular demand, it's the return of the D-Pod Shuffle! We put together a list of all the songs played on the show since 1974, and picked 29 of them at random! Our subject this week is the blues...the demented blues. The funny blues. There's more of that than you might think...from such certifiably funny folks as "Weird Al" Yankovic, Henry Phillips, and Martin Mull...not to mention Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Other highlights include a stack of songs about cloning (no, they aren't all alike) and "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron" by the Royal Guardsmen, together with the Royal Guardsmen's new sequel, recorded forty years later! Jan 28, 2007

Just as surely as December leads into January, holiday feasting leads to dieting (at least for a lot of us!) This week's feature segments explore the ins and outs of dieting with comedic gems like "Too Fat Polka," "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Eat It" and "Fat" and 400-lb. actor Victor Buono's "Fat Man's Prayer." Also included: brand new songs by Worm Quartet and The Four Postmen, and the grand finale for Mr. Whitekeys and the Fabulous Spamtones. Jan 21, 2007
